The Woolshed Bay
South Boat Ramp, located at Whitlocks Rd, Baringhup, provides
freshwater access to Cairn Curran Reservoir, situated approximately 30 km
southeast of Bendigo. The concrete ramp, which is in good condition, features a
single lane for launching boats and is ideal for recreational boating, fishing,
water skiing, and canoeing. Although there is no pontoon or jetty, the ramp is
equipped with ample parking space for vehicles and
boat trailers.
Visitors can also
enjoy nearby amenities such as picnic areas, toilet facilities, barbecue areas, and caravan parks for accommodation. The expansive waters of Cairn Curran Reservoir
is particularly popular among anglers and water sports enthusiasts. Late spring and early summer is best to find Golden Perch, Brown Trout, Murray Cod and Redfin, so this place is definitely packed during these seasons.
