The Pinkenba Boat
Ramp, located at 48 Kirra St., is a peaceful and scenic spot where boaters can
launch into the Brisbane River and head toward Moreton Bay. It’s also a great
place for visitors to enjoy lunch by the water while soaking in the relaxing atmosphere.
This two-lane concrete
ramp provides direct water access, but it’s on the steeper side and can be
tricky to manage solo due to strong currents. If your boat is 4 metres or
longer, it’s best to have a second person to help out. The ramp can also get
slippery, and passing motorboats create waves that might be challenging for
some.
Next to the ramp,
there’s a small beach where you can dip your toes in the water or just unwind
while watching the waves roll in. Keep in mind that there are no pontoons and
limited rigging space, so plan accordingly.
There’s plenty of car
and trailer parking available, as well as picnic shelters where you can enjoy a
meal by the water. If you’re fishing, you’ll also find fish cleaning facilities
on-site.
Whether you’re
launching your boat or just spending a relaxing day by the shore, Pinkenba Boat
Ramp is a great spot to unwind and enjoy the outdoors!
